FAKE NEWS

"Sources" say that, do they, Jake?  You do know that you work for CNN, right?  Either slap a name on those "sources" or figure out some other way to get Nanner McBotox out of the headlines.  Because nobody's buying your crap anymore.

  1. Tapper is recycling Jeffrey Goldberg. I think assuming the reporter made it up out of whole cloth is a safe option when the quotation is attributed to 'three sources witth direct knowledge of his views'. They have simply forfeited any claim to an assumption of integrity.

  2. Like I said, I don't believe a word of it.

  3. Not credible, either from The Atlantic or CNN.

  4. That's not even remotely believable.

"Someone" spun up a quote and threw "losers" in it to make it sound like Trump.

Every time I see a report of Trump saying something truly awful, I assume it's at best--*at best*--out of context spin from a j-school crank desperate to win the election for Biden.

The spittle-flecked maniacs in our corporate press corps long ago forfeited the benefit of the slightest doubt.

  5. BTW:

This is the issue of Yoni Applebaum's fact-checking operation at The Atlantic.
