Pathetic. Not to be outdone, Mark Hemingway points out that the New York Times reported that the heroic Fire Brigade chaplain removed "a statue of Jesus" from the cathedral along with the crown of thorns. Their French-fluent "reporter" read the report, in French, that the chaplain had rescued the Body of Christ, the Blessed Sacrament, and said, in English, that meant a statue. How could anyone reporting on religion for a major (alleged) newspaper be so ignorant?
Off topic, but do any of you remember Brad Drell. who runs a blog called Drell's Descants and was an occasional commenter at Stand Firm, Virtue Online and Chris' previous site?
Brad has just received a letter from the Supreme Court granting him permission to practice, and he is now a member of the Bar and an Officer of the Court.
Katherine, Most "news reporters" today are woefully ignorant of many of the things that my generation learned (because they were common knowledge) about all sorts of things.

Meanwhile, who didn't see this coming?

Overburdened With Christian Meaning."
As one commenter at the linked site says, "Why not just stick a Minaret on top of it and be done with it?"
