My husband was sad this morning, too. She died of cancer, so not necessarily an "age" thing -- since she was only two years or so older than I am. RIP, Peggy Lipton. Chris, don't give up too soon!
I'm not looking to bail early, Katherine. I want to see how this movie turns out. But facts are facts and I'm closer to the end than I am to the beginning.
If I understand correctly, she'd had colon cancer about 15 years ago. Distant-in-time recurrences of colon cancer are rare, so it may have been an outbreak of a different sort of cancer. They didn't say.
