The accuser, Tara Reade, went on a podcast this week and said Biden kissed her, thrust his fingers inside her, and got upset when she pushed him off: "Come on, man!" he supposedly said. "I heard you liked me." Reade claims he then jabbed a finger at her and said she was nothing: "And he was right. That's how people treated me ... I have no platform, I am no one and to him I'm nothing." Reade was among eight women who accused Biden in April of inappropriate touching, but says she kept quiet about the rest after enduring a wave of online harassment.
Anything to it? Since I refuse to play Kavanaugh Rules, it's too early to tell either way. But I would love for Kammi, Mazie, all the rest of the Democratic Congress, American "professional journalism," too many Twitter idiots to count and the rest of the Democratic Kavanaugh lynch mob to explain to me why this young woman shouldn't be believed. #MeToo? #BelieveAllWomen? How will the media handle it, assuming they do? If past performance is indicative of future results, America's "professional journalists" will tweet that they're investigating the story, sit on it for a month and then declare that there's nothing there which one prominent Democrat used to think would be a horrible idea that would send a horrible message.

Former vice president Joe Biden, who was scrutinized for his handling of sexual harassment allegations made in Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas’s 1991 Senate confirmation hearings, said Monday night that any woman’s public claims of assault should be presumed to be true.
Asked for his thoughts on the allegations of sexual assault made Sunday against federal judge Brett M. Kavanaugh, President Trump’s nominee for the Supreme Court, Biden said the episode “brings back all of the complicated issues that were there” nearly three decades ago.
As chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, Biden presided over the confirmation hearings for Thomas during which Anita Hill alleged the nominee had sexually harassed her while he was her boss. Biden allowed personal questioning of Hill from the all-male Senate panel, and though he voted not to confirm Thomas and later apologized for his handling of the hearings.
Biden, who is considered a possible 2020 presidential candidate, was asked by reporters Monday night whether he believed Hill’s claims.
“Oh, I thought she was telling the truth at the beginning,” Biden said. “I really did.”
Speaking generally, Biden added, “For a woman to come forward in the glaring lights of focus, nationally, you’ve got to start off with the presumption that at least the essence of what she’s talking about is real, whether or not she forgets facts, whether or not it’s been made worse or better over time. But nobody fails to understand that this is like jumping into a cauldron.”
End of the day, will this affect the November election? Probably not. A party that couldn't be bothered by Bill Clinton's rapes isn't going to lose any sleep over this. Although I can think of one scenario where the Democrats might want to keep this story alive. If they decide that Biden's going to get massacred in the fall, this would be a handy excuse to dump him and nominate the Communist, Cigar Store or Andrew Cuomo.

Yeah, not sure Biden is going to make it on the ticket in November. To be fair, I don't think allegations from thirty years or so ago which have no corroboration count. This applies to Kavanaugh, to the weird woman in NY who says Trump raped her in a department store dressing room, and to Biden. I think Biden is a creep, but even he deserves to have evidence presented.
Every Democrat in Congress and every Democrat you know who expressed an opinion on this (as well as capons like Ross Douthat and Jeff Flake) are on the hook for this.
The Kavanaugh Rules (and see contemporaneous remarks of Prof. John Haas [https://www.betheluniversity.edu/academics/degrees/history-contemporary-society] of Bethel College if you want a gander at the 'thought' process of someone applying them) state that any ho' making a claim is to be believed, and if the component parts do not add up, that's just an artifact of her 'trauma'.
That this woman was an associate of Biden's at the time is verifiable. There is photographic proof that Jean Carroll and her husband were once on a receiving line with the Trumps, but no other indication they were acquainted. In regard to B Kavanaugh ahd Christine Blasey Ford, there is no evidence the two were ever in the same room any time anywhere.
There would have been close to 50,000 youths in Montgomery County, Md born between the end of 1962 and the beginning of 1969, so you wouldn't assume any two randomly selected youngsters would know each other. The Fords lived six miles from the Judge family and eight miles from the Kavanaughs. She did not attend school with either one of them, her brother was not enrolled in school with either one of him, nor was Mark Judge's sister enrolled at her school. No one produced an old Polaroid with the two of them in the frame. Not one person will attest that she knew any of the people she named as being present that day apart from her chum Leland Keyser. The person she named as having introduced her to Kavanaugh's circle drew a blank. All four people she named as being present had no memory of the gathering and Leland Keyser later followed up and said she had no memory of any gathering like it - that such a gathering would not have fit with the schedule she was keeping in 1982. A pack rat in the Kavanaugh family actually had his 1982 desk calendar and neither her name nor her initials are on it.
If Ford makes the grade, so does this woman. All you have to do now is find a Democrat with principles rather than improvisations. Fat chance. (While we're at it, the smart money says Ross Douthat will not write one sentence on this allegation).
