I'm surprised at how little I miss any of it. I usually don't start paying attention to baseball until the middle of August or so and for obvious reasons, I won't miss the NFL or NBA at all.
Haven’t paid attention to the NFL or the NBA (meaning, no games on TV or radio and ignoring anything written about them) since Brillohead first started his kneeling schtick and all but one of the owners basically bent down and...come up with your own image, and since Gregg Popovich went on the first of his now-frequent rants against Trump and anyone who supports him. So that’s what, four years or so now? I used to be a huge sports fan, but as the years have gone by I have acted to remove unnecessary stress from my life, and also have tried not to waste too much of whatever time God has granted me in this life, so I was already moving away from pro and college sports being a significant thing. The Kaepernick and Popovich fiascoes were the final straws for those two sports. I suspect this shutdown will do the same trick for baseball (I am a third generation Cardinal fan, and there is a fourth generation in my family) and hockey. (I had Blues season tickets in the early 1980’s when I could barely afford my South St. Louis mortgage.) instill like to watch golf on TV because I play the game frequently, now that I’m retired, and I like NASCAR, although their recent virtue-signaling with the Confederate flag and their requiring all drivers to wear face masks when not actually racing have gravelt damaged their once-conservative image. They also have pandered shamelessly to the whole BLM charade, beyond even the Confederate flag thing. So if all of it disappeared forever tomorrow, I would have to say it would not really bother me, except for feeling sorry for all the people in the support industries whose jobs are going away.

Definitely getting harder to say "yes, I miss them". Especially baseball.

“I still”, not “Instill.” Sorry for the typo. 🤷🏻♂️
