So, what's she had to say in the last week about urban disorder, problems in public finance, postal ballot fraud, opening the economy, containing the pandemic, harassment of dissenters in every kind of institution &c? Nothing. It's all jabs at the President and notices of upcoming NeverTrump events. What is she telling us, at the age of 63? That she was never a serious person.
Conservative, Inc., was political theatre and nothing more.
As opposed to Rick Wilson, Mona Charen, Jen Rubin, et al., French has at least initiated litigation to protect conservatives. But for the most part he is content to play the disapproving schoolmarm to other conservatives.
And he still thinks there's a battle of ideas to be had with people who only respond to emotion and force.
The left's response to argument is deplatforming and cancellation--if they're feeling generous. If not, it's doxxing, asssault, blinding, burning and explosives.
It's late June 1936 in Madrid, and French is still tut-tutting about decorum and processes. Sure, he's unpleasantly surprised by the Assault Guards tossing teenage chalkers into squad cars, but his solution is elect the party that deploys the Assault Guards.
