PSA PSA

If you're a man, particularly a man over the age of 50, you might want to ask your doctor about this.  I found out that I had prostate cancer in 2007 when mine suddenly spiked at more than 5.  Ideally, it's supposed to be under one.

And prostate biopsies are not anything that anyone wants to get.  Trust me.

These routine tests save lives. Good post.

On a related note, I know a woman who got the routine colonoscopy because she's 50 now. They found something iffy and she's undergoing extensive testing now to determine what to do next. As unpleasant as it is, colonoscopy also saves lives.

My husband had the Green Light surgery several years ago.
