THE SADDEST WORDS EVER WRITTEN

Bourbon warehouse still burning.

The Jim Beam bourbon warehouse that started around 11:30 p.m. Tuesday is still burning in Woodford County, according to authorities.

After trying to put out the fire throughout Tuesday night into Wednesday afternoon, the Woodford County Fire Department is going to wait to extinguish the fire for a day or two "because of the environmental consideration," said Drew Chandler, Woodford County Emergency Management director.

"There is less environmental impact to allowing the ethanol to continue to burn," he said. "That’s really all that’s left."

But, per Twitter:

Jim Beam is now seeping into the Kentucky River as a result of the bourbon warehouse fire which means that if you go fishing right now there’s a good chance you’ll catch a whiskey-drunk trout in a tank top yelling at his wife that he’ll come home when he damn well pleases. That's why it's so sad. A lot of bourbon died for nothing at all. To hell with some damn fish. ;-)

Must have been the best-smelling fire ever.
