It's the easiest thing in the world, big dog. Maybe the fact that Democrats never get anything other than softballs from you means that you're never ever going to be fair or objective with the GOP, that you basically hate them and they don't feel like taking your crap anymore.

I assume Lewis is married to a woman who earns a satisfactory salary, as it's hard to see how he makes a living. For a decade or more he's been employed as a writer ensconced in the 'pet conservative' niche, most prominently at Bloggingheads TV. He's less twee than Conor Friedersdorf, the other freelancer trying to occupy that space (who, IIRC, eventually landed a salary at The Atlantic).
Why bother going on programs where you won't be treated with respect?
