Pete, we know that you're a gay Episcopalian and so your working knowledge of anything within surface-to-air missile distance of a consistent or even slightly plausible Christian ethic is basically impossible for you. We get that. But trying to figure out some way, any way, to blame this Iranian airliner shoot down, at least a little bit, on Donald Trump is just not a good look.

Idiot. They weren't caught in crossfire. Iran was firing at targets in Iraq, and then Iran shot down a commercial airliner which had just taken off from its own capital's airport. True hasn't fired at anything in Iran at all.
If November is anything less than a Reagan-Mondale blowout for Trump, I'm going to seriously question the survival of the Republic.

What Speier and Buttigieg had to say is so silly as to hardly qualify as 'specious'. The thing is, they've lived their lives in subcultures where this sort of nonsense is not challenged, so they are intellectually flaccid.
