MCJ SHOW BIZ CORNER

Producing a successful movie where girls save the world is a three-step process.

(1) Write something original, a story people haven't seen before.  Iron Woman or Lady of the Rings is not originality.  Casablanca with Meryl Streep as Rick Blaine ain't happening.

(2) Don't take yourself too seriously.  It's a freakin' movie, for crying out loud, and it's like I always say.  Why should people pay good money to watch a leftist sermon when they can go to an Episcopal church any Sunday they care to and see one for free?

(3) Whatever you do, don't do this.

Does this really help the cause of feminism? I hope they don't make another version of True Grit (v3.0) with a female as Rooster Cogburn.

An all-female Henry V would be...interesting.

Just wait until they start re-booting other 80's films, like action films, with female leads.

Die-Hard
Lethal Weapon
Beverly Hills Cop

When they flop, we'll get another sermon worthy of an Episcopal (or a lefty Catholic) church about how our sexism "isn't who we are".
