Bob's candor isn't polling well, is it, Chuckie?
Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) said Wednesday that Beto O'Rourke's proposed assault weapon buyback program is unrepresentative of Democratic views, according to Albany's Times Union.
Why is that, Chuckie?
Schumer's dismissal of O'Rourke's proposal signals that some top Democrats are concerned that it could derail ongoing talks about gun control legislation and may allow Republicans to claim during the 2020 election cycle that Democrats intend to take Americans' guns away.
Which it will because they do. But the Democrats can't come right out and admit that to all those Southern racists and Flyover Country rubes since they can still vote and everything. Once we figure out a way to negate the votes of all the idiots and the deplorables out there, we can be as upfront and as honest with our intentions as we care to be.
But not before.
