Mollie Hemingway has been on top of this since it first hit. And reports this morning are that, contrary to NYT reporter Robin Pogrebin's claim that editors removed the line about the "victim" denying any knowledge of the incident, it was Pogrebin herself who sent out the offensive NYT tweet which they quickly pulled down. Don't believe anything published at the NYT without independent corroboration.
Remember Trump's "enemy of the people" line about American "journalism" that we were all supposed to be so horrified about? I'm also seeing more and more people starting to quote that line approvingly or saying things like, "You know, I think Trump may have been on to something."
