It's called leadership, dingus. Try it some time. But here's a hint: it actually doesn't involve reflexively throwing money at people in the hope that they'll vote for you.
Let their people go back to work, and they won't have budget problems they didn't already have. I don't want to be taxed to help California pay for decades of unwise decisions.
Katherine, Note that all the things that they want saved are taxpayer-funded, unionized jobs, many of which have been continuously paying their employees all throughout this crisis. How about some money to help out small businesses. Oh no, wait - those people probably don't vote for them.
