As the political world waited Monday night for hard numbers in the state that kicks off the presidential nominating calendar - the Iowa Democratic Party was dealing with a debacle - saying they had found “inconsistencies in the reporting” of the results from caucus precincts across the state.

This is so funny, it's hard to believe it's real, but it is.
On top of the Iowa fiasco, the leaders of the committee to run the Democrats' convention in Milwaukee are being investigated for running a "toxic work environment." Corruption and bullying are alleged:

My husband makes an excellent point. Iowa Republicans ran their own caucuses and successfully tallied and reported the results (as Democrats did before 2016). Iowa Democrats conducted their caucuses under the control of the national party. Chaos resulted. This should tell us something about grandiose nation-wide schemes of all kinds.
